The ideas about ass-kicking were plenty exciting. It brought to mind how something like this could be brought together.
My experience is that patrols are pretty easy to put together. A post on the Forums the day before, or even the day of, and then a Notice and Group IM in world is sufficient to sling a team into being.
So, maybe we should appoint some Sergeants in charge of forming up these raids?
We already have some outstanding natural leaders rolling hard on the streets. If they were officially tasked with getting weekly actions together, it could make for some fierce roleplay.
I'd say this much about it, from past experience:
1. It's easy to do.
2. It brings the Fear to the street.
3. It's fun.
4. It takes about four hours. I mention this because scenes can get sloppy, especially big ones, and unless you have the time blocked off, it can get out of hand. Better to not run a patrol or action on a potentially bad night, than to run it despite that and hope for the best.
Have fun out there.
