Promotions
Alright, it would seem that there are some problems I need to address on the subject of promotions in the HPD. This was brought to my attention when an officer, I wont involve names, quit the force after being promoted, because people did not get their facts straight, or took it personally, and started complaining. Its taken me so long to deal with the problem because I did not get these complaints myself. People went behind my back rather than telling me themselves, which I would have then dealt with rather civily. Instead, everyone got upset and told everyone other than the people who could clear things up.
The officer who was 'apart of the force for only a few hours' and got moved to senior was not what some people assumed it was.He was in the force for nearly two months before then, and accidently left the first time which is something many of us have done in one group or another. He was reinvited, and was left on rookie for two weeks while he got back to work because we forgot to move him up to Officer. He did the work, and he earned the promotion to Senior Officer.
The complaints, those I heard about atleast, were from a few PD members, something that surprised me however, was that apparently some FDH complained aswell. Now surprise turned to offense, I dont believe the FDH dont have a say about who gets promoted, but I do believe they should not complain about it behind my back.
My main point, and this is not something to be taken lightly.
You have a problem with someone being promoted or someone in the HPD in general. You tell me, do not go behind my back, if theres one thing that upsets me more than anything its when people go behind my back.
Leadership
I have noticed the lack of Sergeants around, thats being dealt with along with the long list of inactive officers if those of you in the group havent seen the notices yet. Realize Im still new to this whole Lieutenant deal, its alot of work and it takes getting used to, and Im still getting settled and setting things up. Theres a reason you dont see Lieutenants around as much as everyone else, its because we're busy working to keep things going, and we have our RLs to deal with aswell. The Sergeants have their fair share of work too, although Ill admit some have been showing a noticable lack of activity and thats being dealt with.
Activity
I have ideas to get everyone active again in the PD, fun ones that will involve everyone and it should also allow others in CD to enjoy it too. But as I said before, Im working on adjusting to all of this, and stuff like this only makes that adjusting that much harder. My main point for this is be patien
Hopefully we can all get back to having fun and RP soon, as Im missing roleplay myself. 😉
