I had an idea for a minor plot thing for my character.
Basically, I stumble into a gun case containing a exotic weapon- I was thinking a VSS Vintorez or FN Five-seveN -, with the serial number filed off in a back back alley or in the subway or soemthing. It woudl be assumed to have been dumped there by someone out of town. I 'm just making sure Its within the rules. And I'm not entirely sure how it would be handled. I would assume I'd need to call in a supervisor. I figure more than likely it would be taken in, put on a property voucher and then it would disappear.
