The gangs are whispering that law’s grip is slipping, blood payment for old grudges. Meanwhile, the badge-wearers keep faces stony, but their eyes betray panic. Some say a fire crew found the remains, but others claim the cops staged it all. Whatever the truth, the city’s shadows grow longer—and trust, thinner.
