The candles are lit. The drinks are poured. The river is waiting.

Fèt Gede is a Haitian tradition of honoring the Gede spirits and those who came before us. A time for remembrance, stories, offerings, music, food, and gathering together.

Nov. 1st at Barracudas Dock & Bar, we open the doors to the ancestors.

Raise a glass for the departed.
Light a candle for someone remembered.
Share a story.
Dance.
Laugh.
Remember.

Because honoring the dead doesn’t mean forgetting how to live.

Tonight, we remember those whose names, stories, and spirits remain with us.

But this is only the first night.

When the candles burn low and the spirits finally decide they’ve had enough…
