The Crack Den is home to an unbelievable pool of talent ... artists, writers, thinkers, etc. Just reading through these forums and flipping through flickr is more than proof of this fact.

When I first started on developing this website, the goal was to create an outlet for displaying and archiving the great role-play and stories that happen in the Den. I hope you're all happy with the setup I've worked on for you so far. However, it's still not enough for me ... I think there are better solutions I can implement on our site to help display the hard work and thought you put into your RP.

I'm thinking of overhauling the site and coming up with the ultimate community solution ... it'll be an integration of our current forums + flickr + wordpress (blogging software).

When you register for our forums, you'll automatically have a wordpress account created. Should you choose to use the blog, you can then skin (there are a ton available for it), format it, etc. any way you want. You can write your stories, journals, etc. and categorize them accordingly (IC, OOC, etc.). It'll have a much better commenting system than we do now.

The forums we have now also need a style change, IMO ... reading large amounts of text, as well as inputting them in, is not UI friendly.

It's a learning process for me, but a lot of fun when I see the setup being used. Thank you all for helping the CD community become what it is today ... I can't even begin to tell you how much great feedback on content I get when I link our site to others.
