Coqette posted this (tried to do a link, but the forums said no! - http://thecrackden.com/discuss/topic/business-rub-n-tug-2/page/2/#post-47047) in the Rub N Tug proposal thread. I wanted to address this, but in a better format (I don't want the old proposal to be seen before newer proposals waiting to be viewed!) so... ta-da! This topic is the result.

First of all, I want to say that hookers and any sort of 'red light' style work is by no means discouraged and especially not through the gang holding the massage parlour.

There's a couple of levels of this. First of all, for the hookers/prostitutes... yes, there is now an area to be avoided if you don't want to get a bit manhandled. We do our best not to spread that area too far for a couple of reasons. A: Like you said... this street is the go to place for hookers and sex in Hathian. We do not want to discourage that. B: Now that the Reapers are hiding a bit behind a 'respectable' (hah!) business, they do not want to encroach on the other businesses. Yes, they are a gang so they might do so if something stirs them up, but as a general rule... not a whole ton.

Also, as a general rule we try not to force the gang roleplay on those who do not wish it. Now, there is some give and take here to this. You have to communicate with us if you have boundaries, wants or needs in the roleplay. We also ask that you respect that we ARE a gang so if you come and stand in front of us like "hah, I'm a hooker, whatcha gonna do about it?" and then OOCly tell us that you don't want involved with us... well then that kinda comes across like jumping in front of a gun and crying "shoot me!" while having a no death limit. We're willing to give respect and distance to those who want it but we ask for that respect in kind.

I hope that helps address the situation a little bit for you and makes you feel more comfortable with our presence there on Bourbon Street.
