The Hathian Ring - event guide

--------------------
IC rules
--------------------

First things first: THR events show illegal stuff (extreme violence and perversions) and the police might decide to raid the event. Be prepared to escape, fight or get arrested.

Weapons
Guns should be checked in at the entrance and will be kept safe during the event. Other weapons will be allowed as long as they are concealed and not drawn. Security will toss you out if you draw a weapon without permission. Fighters in the ring might have permission for certain weapons, depending on the kind of fight they are having.

Booze
We will sell drinks on site. It is not allowed to smuggle your own drinks to the event and if we suspect you might have a bottle hidden somewhere, we will frisk you.

Tickets
A ticket to the show costs 250 dollars (IC only of course). That's a lot of money in Hathian city! That's why we do everything we can to give you a good time. The money will be used to fund the prizes for the fighters, rent the location and of course make the organizers wealthy. Oops, did I say that out loud?
Tickets can be bought in various locations in CD - all the bars and clubs will sell them under the counter.

--------------------
OOC guidelines
--------------------

We aim to put on a good show. The participants put in a lot of effort and it's good to show your appreciation by giving them your attention. So don't just emote how bored you are, but be excited. The more excited people are, the more exciting the event will also become. Excitement can be shown by applauding, cheering, booing, cursing, yelling and even throwing things.

Lag prevention
With multiple avatars in one location, means it will be heavily lagging for most of us. That's why we ask you to simplify your avatars a little. Also derez any vehicle you used to get there. It also helps to sit down on the stands and cut your AO. And finally, keep scripts to a minimum, so no smoking or other particle effects. You can of course still emote you are smoking.
If you experience lag, reduce your graphics settings, turn particle rendering to zero and derez ocean and sky as they aren't needed anyways. When still lagging extremely, zoom out entirely so your computer doesn't have to work overtime to render all the characters present. The emotes will tell you what is happening.

Post order
There are two PO's during an event. The first and most important one is the PO of the direct participants. Those in the ring have their own PO. If someone else outside the ring wants to be in that PO for some reason, for example to influence what's happening in the ring, tell the ringleader, who has the PO written in a titler over her head.
The second PO is that of the spectators. This PO is more loosely held. General emotes should not be directed to influence what's happening in the ring, as their PO is different.
Emoting can best be kept short, not just in the ring but outside as well. This will keep the focus on what's happening in the ring.

Event shows
Each event will have at least two, possibly show elements. There will always be a pornographic show, bdsm or bestiality or rape. Participants are not always volunteers. If you aim to save a victim, contact the organizers up front so we can fit the rp in somehow.
The second part of the show is the fight, which will be something different each time. Sometimes it will be with weapons, sometimes deliberately an uneven match. It can also be a championship fight with fighters from other fight circles in CD. A fight will last 1 to 2 hours.
The third part of the show is more rare and quite likely cause for lots of chaos. The execution is a public torture and killing show. There is a good chance things will not go as planned though. But it will be spectacular.

Fight guides
The fighters will get separate guidelines and possible training up front to keep the action as smooth as possible.

The end of the event
If we are not arrested at the end, we possibly did something wrong. 😉
