Confident and fiery like any Red-head should be, Tori Best comes to Hathian from a background of variety and fun. She grew up in an average home, with average parents and one brother that is a pain in her ass. Unsure of where to spend her future, she dabbled into a smorgasbord of training from self-defense to first aid, to teaching, to psychology.

She's had her stints as a fast-food worker, office clerk, model, stripper, journalist, day-care and has finally settled into the role of Police Officer. For the short time that she's been in Hathian, she's already managed to get herself embroiled into the nitty gritty of Hathian's crime. Her first day included a trip to the Pathology lab to discuss with the mortician the results of an autopsy on a freshly brought in corpse.

Murder case on day 1. That should have been a sign, yet she has a strange compulsion to help people out when she can, if she feels they deserve it. If they go and put themselves in their situation, well, to hell with them then. She's a good cop, but... has a strange view of 'good'.
