/The Early Years/ - A Young Girl, Disturbed

Her story was probably a lot more common than not. It's the tale of a child, infatuated with all things bright and bubbly and the great fascination of childhood playthings - namely circuses and carnivals. That joy and awe when she first stepped inside of the big top and saw all the colours and clowns gave her immediate satisfaction, and from the very first moment.. it was the only thing she wanted to do. And be.

For a little girl born into society and wealth, that simply wouldn't do.

"Cirque", as she was insistent on being addressed grew up in a world of empires. Big money. Big power. Big families. Her parents were loving and kind, providing her with and indulging her in her seemingly unimportant love of the circus. They took her to each carnival and circus in town, whenever it was in town, buying her no end of scary clown dolls and masquerade masks, painting her room the shades of happy stripes and every imaginable trinket she could want, all in the hopes of sating their obsessive child for at least a little while.

Now while all of this may seem normal, as children have their eccentricities, as she grew into a young woman (a teenager) the obsessiveness only mounted in it's ferocity and even darkness. She grew addicted to the seedier side of the carnival, letting herself "play" with the other performers in events that would certainly have challenged what was and was not acceptable within normal limits. Cirque would run away from school and her family to follow the circus wherever it went. She made friends with the clowns and carnies who would, for favours, hide her in their trailers, even managing to evade the police whenever it got that far until she could finally run no longer. Her parents, frustrated with the child that wanted to focus on nothing more than following a group of ridiculous drifters, sent her away to a boarding school. There she could focus on her studies. She could even get the therapy for the OCD she had. Perhaps she's straighten herself out, and her outwardly weird ways.

So on a plane she went to England, "assisted" by her parents and a guard or two.

/The Teenage/Early 20's/ - Schooling, Faking It and Opportunity Knocks

The Dearmon Society School For Girls accepted Cirque and immediately shoved her into intense therapy. From the second day, she was placed under constant supervision and was allowed few visitors outside of her parents. The school went from grades 9 through senior college, accredited and known for producing productive, serious and successful women. The exterior gave way to the professional image any parent who wasn't sending their child there already would be jealous. The interior was far more sinister.

She was given three meals, all of her books, studies were nine, ten hours a day followed by six hours of sleep. Teachers did not associate with students after or before classes and in the hours that were available beyond sleep and study, one was in high grade therapy working on whatever issues had brought them there. Taught to push down her need for following the circus, having all of her precious clowns, dolls and masks taken away and given no chance to see anything beyond her textbooks, eventually it all worked. Or she made it work. She studied. She got it right. She became a model patient and student and all of "this" quietly worked it's way out of her records. She even became a licensed Psychiatrist. She would do this all and make it out of there. Because they worked wonders with her, it became her goal to work wonders with "them".

Recent Past & Present Day ...The Road Ends...In Hathian?..

If we fast forward for a few years after she managed to make a successful practice in New England, working with various state mental hospitals in their deep psychiatric programs, we find that her secret was still her secret. Officially, she went by Cirque Twine, always amused as people would ask about her name and the reasons for it. Not that she'd tell them. Her private practice took her to various clients across the country. Hypnotherapy, Regression Therapy, Psychotherapy were her specialties and randomly as well as rather viciously she would work her own secret obsessions into their minds when they were at their most vulnerable. She liked the thought of influencing more to be just like her and watching the unraveling begin.

The more recent timeline takes her to Vegas, where she crosses paths with another Hathian import, Kalyptika. She got here by following the circus, not knowing her friend was here. She meant to stay for day or so to catch up..and then keep on going to follow those carnies.

But it looks like she's staying.

And look at that.. she's back at a hospital, playing shoulder to the citizens of Hathian.

The Psych intern is officially in.

OOC - This was written pretty off the cuff as she is still a work in progress. Forgive me for the writing. It will improve as beatings continue. 😉
