Hello and let me just start by saying that i have asked both Jeremiah and Amira for OOC permission to proceed with this story line. Anyone that feels they might have a role to play should please get involved ICly. The purpose of this RP is to begin a change in my storyline, away from mob driven car theft into something a bit more upscale.

Each entry will have a story, followed by an ACTION, a die roll, and a RESULT. This is how I steal cars, I like some risk to be involved.

Sitting at work Terry is working with great industry on the records. She has had some exposure to billing now, enough to start correcting codes for the billers, and to start to monitor the insurance payments, including medicaid and medicare. She shakes her head at the sheer volume of money flowing through the hospital.

Terry is studying to be a nurse, and she hopes someday to be able to work directly with Cat or Amira, Amaya, all of these amazing people she has met here. But she is aware it may make it less possible for her to keep raking in the cash with auto thefts. Her fingers tap idly on the keys as she stares sightlessly at the screen. She has her certification as a Certified Penetration Defense Specialist, and a few other Cisco and network certs as well. No one here really knows just what she is capable of. Of course the IT staff seems to have it's poop in a group, so she is respectful of the security.

Yet she has something that 99% of hackers lack. She has direct physical access to the network. Terry sits back and smiles.

That night she works hard, going over various on line resources, and she creates the kernel of a trojan, a simple program she will plant on the network, just to see how tight security really is. In college she had training on just how to stop this, and so she will see if the IT staff went to school too.

ACTION:
The next morning she plants her seed, and she does it from a public access terminal that no one is likely to connect her to. All it will do it tell if they see it.

Advance means +1 next roll
Detection mean I tell Jeremiah (or who ever is head of security) IC

RESULT:
I rolled a freaking 1 so I told Jeremiah ICly about the attempt, as though from an NPC techie.
