Backstory: Sydney was born in the backwater swamps, deep in the middle of bum fuck no where, Louisiana. Not far from Laveau. She was the youngest of four children with two older brothers 11 and 17 years older than herself and an older sister, 7 years older than herself. Brought up in a rather...unconventional family. Her parents keeping her within sight almost all the times it seemed, unless she was with one of her brothers or her sister. And it wasn't long after Syd turned 10, that her older brother Kain started to show her more of why the family tended to stay to themselves in the swamp where no one would bother them.  What he soon had his little sister calling her art projects. Sculptures that melded human flesh with animal in bizarre and at least to her mind, interesting and sometimes beautiful ways.

Sadly though, her subjects didn't tend to last through the process, but Kain was determined to find a way to keep a subject alive while being worked on. even going so far as to suggest using drugs of some sort. Syd shot that one down not long after he proposed the idea. If they didn't feel what was happening to them, then what was the fun?

Years went by as they do, and Syd grew, learning all kinds of interesting things at her brothers sides. It wasn't until she was 19 though, that Syd decided she wanted to try college, and would find her way to Laveau. A small apartment in the bayou, and classes to entertain her, for now, it kept those urges to..."create" as she was used to, to a minimum. Now having finished her Freshman year, she finds herself growing even more that she is out on her own and learning that things are not as she was told by her family. At least not completely.
