So I hear a bit of grumbling about the rain effects that Nadir has installed in Hathian.  Just wondering what people think of it.  Personally, I love it.  It really enhances RP when people have to duck into shops to get out of the wet, and gives the whole sim a bleak and dangerous atmosphere.  Great for pictures too.

People are blaming the lag on the rain, but I've checked out the system that Nadir is using on MP and it specifically says that it is designed to be low lag.  Personally I think that more lag is caused by the popularity of the Hathian sim (usually at least 1/2 to 3/4 full), the larger number of vehicles at work (HPD/HFD) and the number of huds and enhancements that people wear while visiting there.  I'm no tech expert though.  If a vote were held today, I'd say keep it and expand it to the surrounding sims so that one doesn't walk from sunny Devil's Pocket into torrential Hathian (its a bit weird to hit a wall of rain:)
