"They say there's an old Louisiana urban legend known about these parts, of a werewolf-like creature who lurks in the swamps and woods deep on the outskirts of small rural communities. My mother told me about him once. I kept staying out at night long after curfew, and she'd yell, warning me of the Rougarou who was hunting me, waiting to pounce if I didn't return to home on time. Of course, now I know she was just trying to scare me... I think. I don't know. Late at night, I still find myself looking carefully between the trees, and treading quicker through the empty streets..."
As Halloween approaches, something seems to be stirring up the citizens of Hathian. Bizarre changes to even the most normal of person are permeating throughout the populace, with increasing reports of people biting and attacking each other, along with blatant episodes of debauchery & wickedness.
Is this abnormal for Hathian? Citizens are known for letting loose in the most devious of ways. But what if this isn't quite so natural? What if folks and their mischievous behavior are finally seeing a day of reckoning for their sins? as those affected complain of feeling heated, short of breath, aroused, and unstable, it soon will force citizens, officers, and doctors alike to take a deeper look at what might be causing such erratic, shameless episodes.
Those "bitten" will receive a notecard inworld of instruction on how to begin! Pay attention to the Observer and to your inworld notices to lead you through this arc as we lead up to the Devil's Night.
