Solveig Asbrink was born in a very small city in north Dakota. Her parents met in New York, mother was secretary from a Police Department in Dakota, Father was a swedish Interpol Comissioner.
Her fahter took her over to NY when her mother became sick and lied in the hospital all day. The girl from the small village turned into a big-city woman. She joined the NYPD and went to the academy, where she was educated as Cop and studied criminalistic. Prepared with this pretty high police education she joined the NYPD SWAT. After 2 years on duty, they got a mission undercover, where she and an older officer where in the first line towards the crime. They were hunting a group of drug importers, it was pretty obviously, that her partner was corrupt and got payed by that group. He lead her into the wrong direction, so the criminals escaped. Another officer reported the case and the department for inner security (the one Sol applied for 2 weeks before), brought it to the court. Solveig had a public defender, who was not abel to proof her innocence, although it was pretty clear, that her partner acted pretty clever, and due to her few experience she wasn't able to see th things clearly.
The judges decided, she can stay police-officer, she had best results at the academy and she regretted the incident. They sent her to the CDPD, where she should be in the lowest rank and climb up the ranks as usual again, not regarding her education and her skills, she already had.
Sol was happy about this decision and immediatly atarted to show the best work she can come up with.
Working hard on her patrols, trying to make friends on the streets and to deal with the crime in the Den. She sees herself more as a "friend and helper" than as a tough cop, beating people down.
For Sol the gang-system holds up a kind of order in the town, she tries to keep the powers between the gangs in a good balance, not to beat a whole gang down. It's pretty clear for her, that she can't work for a crime-free hathian, especially not, if many other officers are working together with those gangs, so she tries to keep the innocent people safe and to handle the gang powers in a way, that they still exist, but don't get so strong to govern the city alone.
Solveig is hoping to climb up the ranks and possibly install an office for inner security at the CDPD by the time, to help forming the PD to a strong and fair force for security, law and order again.
