So I have not been here that long, I know CD has been around for a long while but I need to get this figured out.

Realism - Anything related to what is realistic on a real world level

Sim Norm - Anything related to the Sim or game or whatever you wish to call it that is something agreed upon or has been normal behavior within the Sim regardless of whether or not it is realism

I've had this argument on several occasions now and every time I've pointed out things when being told "It's gotta be realistic", that what is done is realistic.

Example ( not calling anyone out ):

Tasers, Tasers are a two way transfer system, there are a few different kinds be it a gun that fires prongs or be it two nodes on a handheld device that require close quarters. The gun itself uses a projectile system which is connected to insulated wires, these wires are simply to send the electrical current from the battery pack to the prongs to initiate the debilitating affect. This affect is different per person, with some, it's not useful, this could be natural resistance or drug related, I've seen the videos where people just walk along and you can hear the zap zap of the juice and see the prongs connected to flesh. Some people might be resistant but not 100%, it effects them but not as it would someone who has no resistance. The wires which attach between are not hot, they are just a passage from gun to prongs for the electricity. When this was brought up as realistic after being told breaking the wires is not realistic or pulling out the prongs by the wires is not realistic and proving it by indicating that I have spoken to a friend who is a deputy sheriff of many years and was explained how it works, I get the "well it's sim norm".

That said, I would appreciate CONSTRUCTIVE clarification from Admins as well as other players here? I am not looking to have any type of argument, I just want information. I'm fairly new to the Sim and back from a 6 yr hiatus for similar reasons because people wanted to say it was this way and that when really it wasn't, I've already had people shit on my RP a few times as well so just want to get this
