Since I was a child, i've kept a diary or events just to keep my head straight and to help me remember facts and events. I have the worst memory and it haunts me daily. It pains me to think that I am one of the best I know at finding information, it's the retention that gets me every time. Since coming to Hathian, I've been lax in my duties to my diary, and with recent events, I've decided to start one up again.

I was raped. A man with blonde hair and cowboy boots. he said he was a charity worker. I should've known better. no such thing as charity in Hathian. I'm beyond the self-pitying phase, moving on to the rage phase. If I see the bastard, rain or shine, day or night, crowd or alone, I'm going to slit his fucking neck with my knife. Then I'm going to cut his dick off and feed it to him. That'll make me feel better.

In other news, slow going on the murder investigation. Seems a new death occurs daily here in this city and Not all of them are related, but all of them are equally gruesome. One body cut up into many pieces, dispersed among barrels feeding into the water supply... One body carved up with butcher precision and left in an alleyway, one topping the spire of the church... many of them seem to have a similar theme. I believe them to be connected to each other, either by the same person(s) or with the same theme in mind.

It became apparent to me that-as Lacey and I climbed the various roofs around Hathian- this was highly unlikely that NOONE saw these murders taking place. this place is very much CRAWLING with all kinds of filth, sentient or not. There has to be a weak spot, a camera flash, a hobo witness who'll spill for a meal and a carton of cigs.

i tried seducing the kid at the Clam today for information. He's he silent type, didn't go for it.

I jsut feel like I've hit a wall, investigation-wise. There's something that doesn't make sense to me. The girl who was speakign with Vic said she was attacked by a blonde. The murders all seem to have a common thread in chemistry, leading me to believe that this murder spree isn't personal. The murderer is trying to reduce these people to their base elements, there is no personal connection to any of them. Photos and stolen evidence only go so far.

Final thought:
I saw a bumper sticker on my chemistry teacher's office wall when i was in my fancy private school back home. It said "Old Chemists never die-- They just reach equilibrium."
