The Sanguinous Sacerdots are a newly forming Cult in the Crack Den.

Aims:

1) To keep their surroundings in Disorder. They believe there are three levels of Order (and lack of it): Order, Disorder and Chaos. They attempt to keep their World away from what they believe are the Extremes of Order and Chaos, choosing for the 'almost-middle' path of Disorder. This means they will try to keep things from getting too 'Good' and too 'Evil'. In practice, they would try to break alliances and end fights between the different gangs of Hathian (when they learn of them and manage to make contact), preferring instead to keep everyone in a healthy state of neutrality, pending more towards hostility than friendliness. They do this because they believe their Master will come from his Realm into this one to Rule it when it's in a Perfectly Disordered state.

2) Experience Pleasure and Satisfaction in their "free time". This includes but is not limited to sexuality. They do this because they believe their Master can feel what they feel, hence pleasing him whilst pleasing themselves.

3) Indulge in Violence and Feeding. They like to prey on anybody who is not a Member, referring to every single one of them as "Mortals" and considering themselves superior to them. Feeding here refers to the consumption of Human Blood.

4) Finding Mortals that are suitable to join their Family. They look for people of any ethnicity and social background, who have five required attributes: Worthy Blood, Submission to the Master, Fearlessness, Resilience and Blind Obedience to the Master's Will. They test for these attributes mostly through testing the Potential Member's reaction to several situations they would be semi-forced or forced in. Except for the Worthy Blood which is basically to check if the potential member's blood tastes good to whoever is testing him (and since they like blood, it's the easiest 'test' to pass).

5) Remaining Hidden. They believe that the above aims are more easily reached by working in the shadows so they will never reveal themselves completely and will do anything to keep their organisation as secret as possible, although they do have to out themselves a little bit to make contacts with the city's gangs (for aim number 1). All members are meant to hide their identity, not only by wearing masks or other clothing/accessories that hide their identity while they are working, but also and especially by leading a double life so as to better interact with the world around them and learn about their surroundings.

Ranks:
As of yet there are only three Ranks -

1) Humble Servant - The Leading Figurehead of the Clan. He is believed to be the only one the Master has a full connection to, the main vessel that connects the Master to this World. The Master can only speak when he is around. Also known as the High Sacerdot or Eldest Brother/Sister.

2) Servant - The Servants are basically "all the rest" of the Clan's Full Members. One becomes a Servant after their initiation ceremony (Rebirth), when they are "brainwashed" enough to believe everything they are told by their superiors. Although they are all considered equal brothers and sisters (even the Humble Servant), those who have been Servants for a longer time have more authority over the younger ones, like in a real family where the oldest siblings generally have some sort of influence over the younger ones.

3) Slave - The Slave is basically an asset, not a full member. They are used as 'blood factories', to be drunk from whenever a Servant feels the need. Servants can put Slaves to any use they desire, as long as they do not permanently maim them or kill them without need and permission from the Humble Servant.

Joining:

Since this is a very new gang (got the first member today), and since there are some extreme conditions to join the gang that most players would probably not like to adhere to, we prefer the player wishing to join to express this wish in an OOC IM/Notecard - if they wish to join as a Full Member (i.e. not a Slave). When a player expresses the wish to join, we will seek him/her out and Roleplay making contact with him/her. During his 'test period' the player will have quite a few chances to ICly refuse to join (the last one in the last few minutes before initiation) - this is so that if the player doesn't like SS RP or SS members don't think the player is up to standard, the player can walk away or be let off without permanent damage being sustained by either side. So drop me an IM or a Notecard on "Vladislav Ogrimund" expressing your wish to join only after you're sure you want to go through with initiation and hence roleplay suffering these extreme conditions.

If you have any questions simply ask here or in a Forum PM or an In-Game IM. I apologise if this is somewhat of a rough sketch and could be layed out much better, but I'm still building this up in my head myself, and it's 1am here. I shall add more to it when I am not about to sleep on my keyboard, or think of more. xD

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy this little "gang" of ours if it pulls off.

Q & A:

Who is the Master?
The Master is not Satan, although many of the rituals seem Satanic. It is (quite sadly) a split personality in the Humble Servant's mind. Basically, the Humble Servant (Vladislav Ogrimund) blindly believes that the voice in his head is a powerful god from another dimension that feeds on blood and disorder and gave him the difficult task of forming a Clan of people to make the World fit for him to rule. The Master's personality speaks to other people through the use of Ventriloquism, which Vlad mastered in his home country, although he truly believes that the Master is taking control of his vocal chords and speaking through them while he semi-subconsciously does it himself.

What "extreme conditions" are you referring to?
You character will be infected with a terminal and hereditary disease during his initiation ceremony. This disease is known as Hereditary Coproporphyria (or HCP) and more info can be found here (HCP Proper) and here (General Porphyria), or googled. This disease is terminal and hereditary meaning your character would suffer from it until it dies and it's children will most probably be infected with it from birth. It includes side effects like Photosensitivity (sensitivity to light, making sufferers prefer darkness), neurologic symptoms and colic (occasional pain in the abdomen that starts and stops abruptly).
