Ryleigh grew up an only child, raised in the lap of luxury most of her life. When she turned 18 her world turned upside down suddenly. She was offered a scholarship at a prestigious university in England and decided to take the chance of going for it; attempting to attain her life goals through this once in a lifetime chance. Her parents had strict rules about making her own way in life and so this was her chance to do things her own way. She was a bright and gifted child, incredibly smart in an academic way.

She boarded the plane, said goodbye to her parents for the next two years so that she could get her degree in engineering overseas. But little did they know, her parents would never see Ryleigh again. She had been abducted, and lured to another country by the scholarship. When her parents tried to contact the university, they said they'd never heard of Ryleigh before, or the scholarship that she was supposedly offered. Ryleigh had been kidnapped and sold into a prostitution ring overseas. Her memories of her prior life are hazy, beaten and drugged out of her over the years. She wears a necklace at all times that she received for her sweet sixteen, two years before she was taken.

The years have changed Ryleigh, made her mind a haze and flipped her personality 180 degrees. She whispers to herself sometimes, hears voices, sees things in the shadows. Her years in the ring have tortured her mind. Eventually she did escape, only to somehow end up in Hathian to wander the streets as a shadow of her former self, searching for a better life.
