<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.99);">I have logged onto Twitter today, and was alarmed to see the hash-tags </span>#Feb27<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.99);"> and </span>#DefundHPD<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.99);"> trending number one and two in the region, and would hope that by the 27th of the month calmer heads prevail because if not then a lot of innocent people are going to get hurt.</span><br style="box-sizing: border-box; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.99);" /><br style="box-sizing: border-box; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.99);" /><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.99);">I've been a reporter for the Hathian Observer long enough to have seen the best of what HPD is capable of, at times, I have attended a funeral of a fallen officer, spoken to his colleagues afterward, talked at length to senior officials in HPD about the issues I see there on the streets as a reporter, but then I have also seen the worst too, the harassment of certain minority groups, the brutality, the false arrests, I have even been a victim of false arrests on at least three occasions myself.
