Early last year, we introduced the concept of an “RP Manager”. This OOC role empowered an individual to manage applications for a particular RP establishment (Gein Burger, Daily Grind, etc.) and the overall group (invites/ejects). Furthermore, we had hoped to appoint individuals who organized and spurred RP stories within that group. In most areas, we’ve had tremendous success with the role; in others, not so much.

As we move the community into the New Year, BeBe and I have been working closely with a few individuals on developing systems, tools and concepts to better administrate the Den’s growing population. Part of this effort includes a more specific set of goals and expectations on behalf of RP Managers.

Qualifications:

1) Must already be an active member in the city for at least one month. You should be familiar with the style of role-play in the city, its administration and groups.

2) Must have a clean record with Security and uninvolved OOC disputes. Conflict management and diplomacy are paramount traits required to take lead roles.

3) Must be an active community member on the web (or plan to be since these req's are new). BeBe or Nadir should be able to recognize your name since they actively oversee the discussions, activities and content that are produced on the web.

4) Have a passion for the community and taking a leadership role

Description:

• Take proactive leadership as “RP Manager” !!

• Administrate the group: manage roles, applications and notices.

• Responsible for organizing and coordinating stories related to your organization in the city with other members in and outside your group

• Organize in-character events (ie. Seasonal parties for employees, IC employee reviews, etc. – ie. what would an RL manager of a restaurant do for their employees? Be creative! )

• Weekly updates on forums with current stories running in your organization

• Motivate your group members to join the online community (make use of forums, manage your organization's wiki page, etc.)

• CD Security: eject / ban griefers on CD RP parcels

Traditionally, we appoint internally. However, with the university now opening up , we're going to try recruiting some fresh blood as well. I'll be posting this + the application for it in the announcement section this weekend. I just wanted to give our forum community the heads up first before we send it out to the group.
