A simple backstory may give the impression of lazy, but I've found it limits the ability to evolve or be chaotic a bit limited. Blah blah new girl, dropped off by a psycho ex without a penny to her name to teach her a lesson....sink or swim, but perhaps she's a sweet girl stripping....or something evil lurking beneath the temptation.
