This is just a story line that Smith and I have been playing around with a couple of others. it's often difficult to interrogate into someone else's story and I know that there are aspects that don't all ways fall in line with what others want to rp at the time. while I tend to stay more on the side of the mysterious and mystical which kind of walks the line between what is urban or supernatural, I do however keep it plausible. it kind of lives in that realm of whispers of seeing unexplained things. feeling the weight of a spell cast in the heavy oppressiveness of the air. The smell of ozone, the flicker of lights that might be explained away as bad wiring or even swamp gas. shadows that play tricks on your eyes breezes that hold whispers that you question if you heard them or not. The unexplained draw to go to a specific place or do something you hadn't planned on doing but deep down wanted to do or go to. subtle influences for weaker minds, where stronger ones might feel the tension but cannot be swayed because oocly it's not your bag of tricks to rp. We have just been rp'n this on our own since few ends up in our location and we just are not they kind to go hunt other people down and drag them into what they clearly are not seeking out. however, if this story line interests you here the story. As some of you are already aware of Ember is the shop owner of Witch Way Alley located on the edge of the campus. but the shop doesn't just cater to the wanna be witches of fad chasing students. When Ember became the owner, she brought with her as well as discovered many hidden relics within the walls of the shop. Some items are within her possession only while others reside somewhere in hidden shelves and secret compartments. These relics have gained the interest of Relic Hunters. The hunters are not a gang, a group or a family, but they are independent individuals each searching a specific relic or artifact. now it's not clear if they were sent by someone else for the items or if they hunt them for their own purposes. This story line is unfolding organically, and its course could change without warning. The hunter in our story does not have to be the same one in yours if you would like to play a part of this story out. I have prepared a list of a few relics you might begin a story around yourself within the witch shop. either as a hunter or as a clerk who is working the shop. because let's be fair, we are not always all online at the same times to rp together. so please consider this list as hidden relics within Witch Way Alley, try to stick to one relic for your story line, since it would be impossible to discover all of them at once. 1. The Whispering Locket Appearance: A delicate, antique silver locket etched with runic symbols. It hums faintly when held. Properties: This locket contains fragments of overheard secrets and whispered wishes. When opened, it can replay faint echoes of voices from its past owners, revealing fragments of truths -- but only if the listener asks the right question. 2. The Chronos Dial Appearance: A bronze, pocket-watch-like device with shifting, spinning gears that seem alive. The glass face reveals constellations rather than numbers. Properties: A relic that can manipulate time in subtle ways -- slowing it, speeding it up, or even allowing glimpses into the future. However, the longer it is used, the more disoriented the user becomes, Lost in the gaps between moments. 3. The Phoenix Feather Quill Appearance: A vibrant, shimmering feather that seems to glow with it's own internal fire. Properties: When used to write, this quill brings words to life -- literally. Stories become reality, drawings spring from the page, and truths written in ink can alter the world. But the quill's fire is unpredictable and will burn out if overused. 4. The Mirror or Veils Appearance: An Ornate, hand-held mirror with a blackened, smoky surface that doesn't reflect the viewer's face. Properties: Instead of showing the present, this mirror reveals hidden truths, alternate realities, or the shadowed intentions of those who gaze into it. However, prolonged use risks trapping the user in the mirror's many layers. 5. The Lantern of Lament Appearance: A wrought-iron lantern with flickering pale-blue flames that never extinguish. Properties: Said to capture lost spirits, the lantern can provide safe passage for them to the next real -- or release them at the user's discretion. It must be handled carefully, as its flames grow erratic in the presence of great sorrow. 6. The Riftkey Appearance: A jagged, crystalline object suspended within a golden loop, its core pulsing faintly with light. Properties: A dangerous relic that can open doorways between places or dimensions. The rifts created by the key are unpredictable. and once a doorway is opened, there's no guarantee it can be closed.
7. The Serpent's Band Appearance: A coiled silver bracelet shaped like a serpent eating it's own tail. Properties: This relic grants its wearer temporary protection against lies, forcing all around the to speak the truth, However, the more it is used, the more it compels the wearer to reveal their own hidden truths as well. Each relic could serve as the center of its own tale, bringing curious customers, dangerous seekers, or unforeseen consequences to the shop. Do you think any of these might come into play in the current story you are playing out? Perhaps it ties into the dangerous relic hunters that are now targeting the shop for other relics. Maybe one of your regular rp partners would be interested in building a tale around one of these objects with you or others working in the shop. I would love to see how other people might rp this out and develop it into their own stories. Let me know what you think. |
