Unless you're under a rock, most people have knowledge of some of the current events happening across the nation, as well as many of them happening on American Soil.

The rise of protests due to verdicts on the challenge of racial tension and police brutality is staggering, and hasn't been seen on this level in many years. Some of us are affected directly. Some of only read about it in the news, out of the distance of the shouting, the rioting and the fighting and hate.

I'm not posting this to spark a debate on what is right or wrong, or to tell you where your interests should lie. I post this, because current events in CD, seem to coincide with those in real life. I post this, because far to easily can we let those lines of personal opinion cross over into our RP, or be numbed to the effects in RL.

It's a sad moment in the world. And as much as I encourage hate, brutality, violence, rape, and corruption in roleplay, I find myself glad that HPD is just a fictional department, in a fictional world. It's scary out there. And maybe it's a good thing we can experience this kind of RP inside a safe environment than be faced with it in day to day real life.

My point. it seems lost, I know.. But as we're beating and killing eachother in RP. Perhaps a nod to respect to everything going on in real life is warranted.

Because in Hathian, Police fuck You.
