Hi, I just wanted to leave a blurb about my character here in case anyone see's my av wandering talking to herself.

The Facts:
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Nationality: Israeli
Language: Speaks with an accent, English is her third language, but she has only lived in America for a year.
Personality: Is very to the point, curses like a sailor, is loyal to her family though she knows they are severely flawed, and extends the same type of loyalty to her friends.

Nailah's family is originally from Yemen. Her father sought amnesty, supposedly due to religious persecution in the early 90's; in reality it was due to the ongoing political upheaval in the country. Her father wasn't religious, but he had other motives. A large amount of wealth amassed as an arms dealer...with the political strife coming to an end he recognized that it was time to move on, before he would be implicated for his actions. Taking his wealth and five sons with him.

Nailah was born in Israel to his second wife, ten years after her families arrival, his first wife died due to an "unfortunate accident".

For the majority of her life she has been brought up amongst the upper middle-class, despite the fact that her father was in the top echelon of the wealthy in Israel. They lived in a suburb right outside of Tel-Aviv, in order to fly under the radar.

Despite living in the lap of luxury, her home life hasn't been easy. Her father, a strict disciplinarian very rarely allowed his only daughter to date or have much of a social life; and his means of punishment were corporal in nature. This type of authoritarian regime in Nailah's household, only taught her how to rebel creatively to get what she wanted.

After graduating from Tel Aviv University, she began her military service, it was there she became aware of the rumors involving her father's business dealings. However her physical strength, intelligence, and ability did not go overlooked.

It was during her time in the military that she began to take pictures, and decided it was her true passion. She has spent a year in New York attending the School of Visual Arts, and has come to Columtreal, to continue to work on her graduate degree, focused around urban photojournalism.
