perina mcginnissaidPlease give your feedback and suggestions for this business proposal (in a constructive manner!) for this proposer to review, respond to, and take into account should they go forward with their private business! For more information on how proposals work: http://thecrackden.com/discuss/topic/group-and-business-proposals/ She Devil's Salon TYPE: Private Business (Full-Service Salon) SLURL: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/District%208/119/150/35 BACKGROUND: Background: Passionate about all things beauty and self-care-related, Gen LaFleur pursued her cosmetology license. What initially was a prospect of cutting hair and doing color in the homes of clients as a side gig became a reality when she met Jenna Boyer. A strong bond developed from their mutual love for makeup, hair, and nails. Together they aspire to open a business that offers quality while giving their clients the most “bang for their buck”. The She-Devil's salon would be funded by the Devil’s Own, much thanks to a recent B&E which lined our local biker club’s pockets. Both Gen and Jen assume the positions of ‘old ladies’ in this [prospective] gang, their respective partners are the Vice President and President of this faction. Given their financial support, this business would serve the purpose of a business front. [ The MC currently is pushing a money-laundering scheme, something that has unfolded in the weeks after roleplaying out a robbery. After this unfolded, the money sat in a safe for weeks… And cue our lovely financial expert, Everly, another old lady in the MC. This recent arrival has a degree in finance and has experience with similar schemes, ones subtle in their nature as to not draw too much attention. Everly has secured a job at the bank in Hathian and connections to layer this money from illegal MC activities, place it into a financial system, and will transfer it to different places such as bitcoin to hide the origins of the funds. In other words, it will be hard to find trace of this moolah. The usage of the salon as a front for the gang and money laundering scheme caters to the CD theme of criminal RP!] UNIQUE: After perusing through more recent beauty business proposals, we noticed that there wasn’t a mention of eyelash and makeup services. To generate role-play around events, it would be loads of fun to promote these services to new and existing clients so that they can look like and feel like their best selves. In a previous business proposal, we read a question about what crowd this would cater to. While we are uncertain about what the salon will look like appearance-wise, we would cater to anyone and everyone seeking these services. Deals for haircuts would be something we could be promoting whether it be pushing out coupons, flash sales, or specials (perhaps monthly?) to cater to the masses. Similar to barbershops and salons, there’s a ton of opportunities for gossip. Whether it’s our stylists sharing the tea on the streets or hearing it from their customers, this could generate a ton of interesting RPs. IDEAS: After perusing through more recent beauty business proposals, we noticed that there wasn’t a mention of eyelash and makeup services. To generate role-play around events, it would be loads of fun to promote these services to new and existing clients so that they can look like and feel like their best selves. In role-play, we have found prospective workers and clients excited about this potential salon. Don’t worry if your character is not licensed yet, there will be IC opportunities to earn a license and learn from experience. EXPERIENCE: Gen has previous experience as a business leader in different sims from bakeries to diners to burger joints and taquerias, all of which are customer service-related RP venues. Currently, Gen has been working at Lou’s as a bartender and you can find her there frequently or hanging out in that area during her time off. Jenna has experience working at businesses and has a talent for weaving stories. She goes out of her way to include people and is always down for anything. This experience hosting events and weaving storylines with other businesses will be super helpful in navigating this new venture. Blending our experiences and skills together, we hope to hope events and weave storylines with other businesses in this new venture. We think this would be a fantastic opportunity to expand our current stories, create new ones, and mix with a whole lotta new people. We're super passionate about this idea and have spent weeks roleplaying it out, including proposing the business to the MC and getting it approved during one of their 'church' meetings. |
