perina mcginnissaidPlease give your feedback and suggestions for this business proposal (in a constructive manner!) for this proposer to review, respond to, and take into account should they go forward with their private business! For more information on how proposals work: http://thecrackden.com/discuss/topic/group-and-business-proposals/ Charity House TYPE: Private Business (Community Shelter) SLURL: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Hathian/117/159/26 BACKGROUND: Charity House hopes to provide a safe harbor for those experiencing houselessness Staffed by a former nurse among other philanthropic individuals, we plan to have computers, workspaces, relaxing furniture, a kitchenette, and a secure housing environment in the lower level. Charity House will help to bridge the gap between newcomer and local, allowing these folks to find community connections and become established residents (IC and OOC!). In addition, Charity House will help the HPD better its reputation with the community through outreach initiatives. OOCly the focus of this 'business' is to give newcomers to sim a place to hang out, for their character to 'live' before they move on, and to help connect them with on-sim factions and businesses that can draw them into long-term RP. It's like an OOC mentorship hub disguised as an IC mentorship hub (that's pretty corrupt ICly, but RP to find out more!). EXPERIENCE: This isn't going to be run like a typical business - it's essentially a place for established RPers to connect with newcomers, and to give gangs somewhere to find vulnerable people ICly. As such, there's not going to be a lot of OOC responsibility - people will be able to join the group automatically and find a way to contribute that suits their character best. A lot of OOC mentorship feels forced - we OOCly meet new people but don't know how to get our characters to reasonably interact; this eliminates that 'forced' feeling as best as possible. The best way to start RP stories is to RP. |
