TYPE: Freelance lawyer firm

BACKGROUND: What goods/services will your business provide to the city? Brinner and Associates will be a freelance lawyer firm. Nikolai Brinner and associate freelance lawyers will seek to provide legal services within their various fields of expertise. Under a loose charter of respect to member's personal property, non-poaching or pilfering of clients, and a non-disclosure agreement of any activities within the building's walls, Brinner and Associates will allow a freelance lawyer to conduct their legal services on their own terms with access to office supplies/services. Though the civil services building exists... It constantly is getting burnt down/attacked, is right in the middle of town, is government monitored and is accessible by everyone (and oocly overheard by everyone in the middle of town); to have a firm dedicated to giving freelance lawyers an opportunity to conduct themselves and their business in a more closed door, safe, and secure area, allows for clientele to have piece of mind that their business will not be broadcast across the city, that their information will not be available for preview by anyone other than their personal lawyer, that they will not have the cops immediately called upon them when asking for legal assistance and that the client will have the ability to choose their representation without it being chosen for them. Choice and options, are good for business for everyone. By having another firm, even one filled with freelancers will allow clients to realize that it is not a race between them and the other party as to who can get to the established firms first, but that all parties in a legal disagreement can seek fair and equal representation under the law for their grievances. Freelance lawyers like to set their own hours and conduct business on their own terms and there are quite a few clients that like that flexibility in a personal lawyer but at present there is no place for them to service the clientele that would typically seek them out. There are clients who would prefer a personal freelance lawyer over someone from an established firm but have no idea where to go to seek equal representation for their legal problems if the other party already has a lawyer on their side. Brinner and Associates will bolster relations between the city and its legal representatives by providing easier access to those representatives and allow another congregation area for new legal representatives to meet, learn and be among colleagues. Being a New Freelance Lawyer is hard as fucking hell and new freelancers would especially benefit from Brinner and Associates in order to get their feet wet into the legal landscape of Haithan before deciding whether or not they wish to try it on their own or to seek employment at the established firm in town. Freelancers new and old must always be pounding pavement to hand out business cards and work hard to survive by word of mouth that their services are ones to be sought out; to provide such a central location as Brinner and Associates to meet with a client will provide a means for these lawyers to elevate their personal nomadic small business to something more trustworthy and established in an atmosphere that'll allow a client to feel safe and secure. Everyone deserves legal representation and not to feel like they are left three sheets to the wind or unable to trust their representation; Brinner and Associates will provide a varied assortment of Freelance lawyers so that each client can make sure that they feel they can trust the representation they choose and are represented to the utmost that they can be.
UNIQUE:
EXPERIENCE:Why do you want to run an in-character business in the Crack Den? 1) Because Nik wants more stability due to his personal life and having his own business is the next logical progression for my character's development. 2) To help other freelance lawyer characters have an easier start at legal rp than my character did on his own. 3) To provide an option for counter-representation in legal matters which would enhance legal rp and provide more options for clients looking for representation.
