So having been approached with an opportunity to have a combat scene with someone, which I am usually totally down with...I was advised that this person was an expert in Asian fighting styles, claiming to be as good as Bruce Lee. I was a bit apprehensive, while i don't want to deny anyone an rp scene...It makes me feel almost like no matter what i might lose, which again I am fine with but i have run across those people that are superhuman in strength, speed and agility, lol. We all have.
How do y'all deal with these situations, if in fact you know before hand that they are 'experts' in whatever fighting style they are experts in. (whether it be cage fighters, militia based combat training, boxer, karate, wrestlers, etc. because there seems to be quite a few out there.)
My character is a decent enough street type fighter, but will go down and has lost more battles than she has won, only because, well, sometimes someone just types better LOL. I am also not one for guns, but due to recent story plots, my character has begun carrying her pistol once again. even though she would use her box cutters first, of course, she may even resort to buying some type of legal civilian baton, since that was her favorite weapon of choice.
Well I am rambling, but yeah, any suggestions would be great, because I for one am a bit leery about fighting someone who has and extreme amount of combat training, of any style of fight.
