Onyx was the second oldest of four children, she wanted so bad to fit in with her sister, she often would tag along in her adventures until it got to much, the older Onyx got the more she could see how neglectful her parents were. She began studying harder and eventually going off to college, she wasn't proud of how she made her money in order to attend her school but Onyx kept that to herself, Having a rough go until she was out of school and made her way to Hathian to become a psychiatrist.

A year later she got a call about her sister, Fern needing a place, of course she would do anything for her, and there she was helping her find a new job in a new town and hopefully staying out of trouble.
