The Slab Butchery

BACKGROUND: I want to breathe new life into the Slab. Not only will it be a traditional butcher shop, but it will also offer a Delicatessen experience, and take specialty orders, which are all filled 'on demand', whether it be gater, possum, swamp rat, dog, or even...human. Some of that would obviously be on the 'down low' but obviously there is a market there. Some event ideas would include cooking classes held in the back or just outside for grilling style, or even competitions much like Chopped or Iron Chef. To make new employees feel included, they could be given tasks to 'fill orders' that might require them to go out into the streets or the ocean or the swamps or even someone's backyard, to find the custom 'meat' that someone has requested. There's also potential for folks not working for the Slab to do some bartering there, if they happen to hunt or catch game/fish etc. That includes body disposals, on the down low. Camden is a natural born leader. He has a military background and is secretly obsessed with butchery and cooking, despite claiming to suck at cooking. He is professional and able to manage employees while also handling less than legal situations well.

UNIQUE: I want to ensure that this business is a constant origin of ripple RP for the entire community. Employees will be given small tasks regularly and the Slab will offer regular events in both the legal and not so legal areas. I want the Slab to be a place characters go to do more than simply purchase meat. With the delicatessen addition, this creates a space that players can engage in longer RPs and it becomes a destination business instead of a 'stop and go'. It will be equally catered to the legal side of things, as well as the darker side. That way, all types of characters can enjoy the business and what it offers.

EXPERIENCE: I've ran several businesses in CD in the past as well as factions. I'm a game designer by trade in RL and know how to create small open world content to ensure consistent emerging gameplay for hundreds of players at a time. I am always open to collaboration and feedback and try to always lead by example.

IDEAS: New players to the sim or to the business will be offered interview RP and given small tasks such as 'we got an order for some fresh gater, but we're out. If you think you got what it takes to work at the Slab, go on out into the swamps...catch you a gater, and if it don't eat you first, bring it on back, and we'll see about getting you hired.' I plan to have weekly tasks like this, to continue to keep employees engaged, and offer IC bonuses and things like promotions etc., for investing in the business RP.

OTHER: I think there'd be several things that I'd want to do. First, i'd offer discount meat specials/bundles. This will clear out the excess IC 'stock' and help to create the 'meat on demand' vibe I want to make. I also think hosting a BBQ cookoff or gumbo cookoff, something like that, in the streets, would be great. There could be a hired band and it could be a collaborative event with other businesses , like a street party. Maybe a crawfish bake even. Something revolving around Louisiana styled meats, not just boring cows/chickens etc.
