Pie Hole

SLURL: Hathian sim

BACKGROUND: The character Sofia Messina is a natural when it comes to serving good food and entertaining customers. Having run a local bar lounge and pizzeria in Hathian before (Sofia's Bar Lounge) she has experience in business and her Italian background and quirks lends support to all of the things regarding regions, cities, traditions and ingredients (her writer, too.)

Her IC reason for moving back to the city is to be with her little son, Hathian born Drake Messina-Davis, who will start making more appearances. Now also with her brother Adrian in town, and still with many connections to dear friends Hathian, Sofia as a business owner in this city would be a smooth transition and she would resume her usual high work ethic and mother hen-ness for Hathian. And of course, our beloved Nonna Fiametta Borsetta would be rejoining her as a permanent fixture and pizzamaker! With Sofia approaching middle age and Fiametta well into her retirement years, The Pie Hole would provide a diverse addition to the citizens of Hathian.

The Pie Hole has long been established as a place to meet, with its central location. I would add some bits of decor to colour it with a bit of Sofia's Italian flair, and create a new working menu with both traditional ingredients, and also some pizza names that are relevant, fun and pun-like for the city - perhaps even create a competition where some characters would get to have a pizza named after them! This would delve into Hathian history, too.

I would have Sofia run special deal nights and, with sim owner approval, improve the interior of the pizza place so there are at least 2 tables, plus a waiting area for pickups.

The Delivery driver position would be reintroduced and promoted to make deliveries around the city. This can also open up avenues for shady business dealings. We could also tap into an IC UberEats business, and have people with cars and other vehicles to pick up and do deliveries, if they have their own permits.

Marketing would be maxed out with fliers, billboards (with approval), menu pamphlets, and coupons distributed through IC interactions. I would create new IC employee roles, such as pizzamaker (no tag), and if possible, switch the electric/gas oven for a woodfire pizza oven.

The Pie Hole would network with other business and sim events, such as the market and festivals, etc. in catering pizza to feed the masses.

UNIQUE:

EXPERIENCE: I have run a private, successful business in Hathian before, and lead a faction: Sofia's Bar Lounge and the MD Family. I am easygoing, hardworking and patient as a leader. I get along well with people. I am here to create story. I keep it IC, and I work hard to support the sim. I enjoy supporting newcomers and coaching RP. I can be there to support the UK and Australian players a few times a week, and US players on weekends. I would hire staff to support around the clock and promote dedicated staff to management.

IDEAS: IT'S NOT ALL BUSINESS! As a business owner, I am an active player and am in it for not only promoting the sim, but for participating in the roleplay. I love all kinds of roleplay, but as a meeting place and central eatery, I think it's important to also adore the kind of scenes where a character stops in for a bite, and tells the business owner their wins or their woes. I'm always up for that kind of conversational scene where information, connections and threads of story are established.

Sofia Messina is a warm, friendly character that would fit running the Pie Hole and interacting with the customers who pass through.

OTHER: GRAND RE-OPENING - I would network with the other businesses in Hathian and perhaps encourage a 'White Night' - which is great for all of the city to connect. I would set up pizza by the slice for the night and have a stand out the front/in the street, and hire a DJ to make it a street party. In Italy this is called 'La Notte Bianca' and it's held annually to support local businesses. I would do all of the advertising and networking to create the event with others.
