perina mcginnissaidPlease give your feedback and suggestions for this business proposal (in a constructive manner!) for this proposer to review, respond to, and take into account should they go forward as the Lead! For more information on how proposals work: http://thecrackden.com/discuss/topic/group-and-business-proposals/ Master Bates Inn TYPE: Official Business (motel) SLURL: Hathian, Main Street BACKGROUND: The Master Bates Inn is a great premise to really draw in newly applied characters that have not set up IC homes or rentals while also lending roleplay opportunities to people who are looking for darker themes. Tabitha would exploit those who are impoverished or new to the city by raising rates - particularly in a manipulative and deceptive manner that is contractually agreed to. If they are unable to pay the costs of staying at the hotel, then they will be forced into film or selling drugs to pay off their debts. For some event ideas, there could be marketing sent out to offer discounts if people host parties at Master Bates Inn and choose it for their place to crash after a night of drinking and drugs such as bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday parties, etc. There will be a Halloween party event every year where discount prices will be offered on rooms, and costumes/masks are highly encouraged and some sort of debauchery scene will take place that will be filmed and made available the day afterwards. In order for new employees to feel like they are included and part of the business, I will make a rule that a role-played interview, confirmation of job, and tour will be given before someone is officially considered an employee at Master Bates Inn. There will be an employee of the month based on hours worked, what additional money they brought in, and overall team engagement. My character naturally takes lead when it comes to spearheading business ideas. However, she knows that being a leader also requires a team and having a collaborative environment is the best way to have a business run. UNIQUE: The business will have a face of a motel but is also a background scene for criminal activity such as prostitution (either forced or consensual), selling drugs/moonshine, and torture sessions. However, to use the facility as such, there must be additional fees to coerce management into allowing such 'atrocities' occur in the business. There will also be a section of motel that will be treated just as a regular motel so that employees who OOCly do not want to be involved in the dark rp can just stick to those rooms as their responsibility. How do you plan to engage new players on the sim or who sign up for your business? I plan on using radio advertisement as well as crafted fliers as a marketing campaign to draw people to the hotel. For new players specifically, I will look to engage them ICly and if I find out they are new to the city, offer them a "great deal" at the inn (which won't be a good deal, but what would they have to compare it to?). As for those who sign up for the business, it will be a rule that interviews, job hirings, and tours must be role-played out either by me or another leader of management in order for the employment to be valid. EXPERIENCE: My personal qualities that will best help me as a leader is my desire to include everyone who wants to be a part of my role-play story. Although I do not break the realism of the Hathian environment, I do my best so that everyone I encounter is acknowledged and invited to engage on a deeper storyline level. I also have been role-playing at Crack Den since 2010, so I am familiar with many players and its layout, how to use the forums, and other resources to make Master Bates successful. OTHER: Outdoors summer block party! Since there is some parking space next to the motel, people with allowed vehicles could bring their cars and have a sexy car wash experience while having alcohol in their trunks to keep the party mobile! So girls in bikinis, barbecued food, and lots of alcohol with a splash of illegal drugs sold - hopefully encouraging people to need to pass out at one of the rooms and pay for a night. |
