Alexandra MelunesaidPlease give your feedback and suggestions for this business proposal (in a constructive manner!) for this proposer to review, respond to, and take into account should they go forward as the Lead! For more information on how proposals work: http://thecrackden.com/discuss/topic/group-and-business-proposals/ Labor Union & Hardware TYPE: SLURL: BACKGROUND: I'd like to make construction/maintenance and repair work an ongoing and supported form of RP around the city. I'd like to solicit jobs of various scales from both players, other businesses and admin to set up various work sites for employees to attend. These could be civic projects in the streets, in shops/homes or public service buildings. Repairing damage from floods, storms, riots, installing new equipment, even refreshing the paint. City services such as sewer and power could also make good work sites. I would try to organize a message board system where these jobs and their locations could be listen and coordinated to enhance rp. My character has recently started work as a Civil Engineer, she's involved in contracting larger jobs particularly for the city so this would be a natural expansion. UNIQUE: This business is already somewhat unique by it's nature. It's more of a supporting system for the other businesses and services around the city. Since the union is rather broad and can cover most physical labor and tradesmen positions there's quite a large opportunity for scope. Labor disputes and strikes could be exciting if there is enough involvement. I'd like to try as much as possible to have the RP be out an about on the sim, not hidden away in the shop or the union yard, this could be right inside other businesses or out on the street. EXPERIENCE:In the past I've run numerous RP groups and factions as well as being involved with sim management. I have lots of experience setting up RP events and problem solving to keep play moving smoothly. I'm pretty easy going at least OOC and enjoy talking to players of all experience levels. IDEAS:General labor jobs are right up there with fast food as easy beginner positions, I'd like to be active and try to snag newcomers to join up on work crews around town. OTHER:I think rather than a re-opening I would focus on getting the word out that we're looking for jobs/contracts and push out the information on how to get involved. A trades fair for hiring and advertising might serve well if there is some player interest. |
