Official CD businesses all have 'help wanted' signs that allow characters to instantly be hired and roleplay as clerks/employees. That's great, until you get into a situation where someone is using your official business for things that would definitely NOT go unnoticed IC'ly by the boss or other employees. I've been dealing with this quite a lot with the Slab over the years, but much more so since the beginning of 2022. Countless times I have had random 'employees' that have literally never engaged in RP with any other workers or staff...claiming they can and have used the slab for everything from rape to murder and dismemberment of bodies and selling human flesh etc. While I am totally fine with people RP'ing as staff at the Slab without Camden getting to interview or meet them IC'ly (cuz time zones etc), I am growing frustrated that players are treating the Slab like there aren't CCTV, no consequences IC, and they can just do whatever they want like it's not owned and operated and occupied pretty much every day with actual staff that communicate and RP working there. Is there anything we can get as official CD business leads to help mitigate this kind of shit? In the last few weeks I've had players thinking they just have absolute free reign over what can and cannot happen in the Slab. The only stipulation SEEMS to be 'is Camden online/near'. I'd really like to not have to be a dick to people OOC because of this stuff. But it makes ZERO sense to be the owner of a business and have new hires using your legitimate business as a place of murder and dismemberment and yet SOMEHOW the owner and regular staff NEVER know about it IC'ly or OOC'ly. There needs to be some rules around communication on an OOC level, when agreeing to work at an official CD business. Or at the very least, it should alert the leader of the business when someone joins the roster. I shouldn't have to babysit the roster 247 to know if someone has been hired, when I'm the owner IC/OOC. The system for hiring right now really needs updated, because this is just creating nonsense at this point and it's frustrating as hell. |
