Hathian Motors

BACKGROUND: In Hathian many businesses have a seedy dark side they don't like to show except to the criminal element that presents itself secretly. For Hathian Motors I don't believe this is necessarily the direction I want to take. I do believe that a chop shop has been proposed some time ago by an outstanding RPer of CD and I would like to send that sort of business his way. I want to keep HM servicing the HPD, FDH vehicles, and private vehicles in an above-board fashion. This isn't to say that employees hired by HM can't be seedy and sabotage vehicles brought in by those they don't like, just pray the owner doesn't catch you. 😉 Nor is this to say that I'm not open to business rivalries.

UNIQUE: I'd like to have car, truck, and bike shows now and again. Fill the Hathian Highway with rare, expensive, and/or restored older vehicles. I'd also like to have a drag race now and again, perhaps off the Hathian main SIM on one of the side CD SIMs where tends to be less lag. I'd also love to throw a party once in a while for the employees, friends, and family of HM in the lot. I'm hoping to find other business owners in CD that are looking for joint storylines and work with them as well in some way by either offering to service their vehicles, or offering discounts on regular tuneups for services offered to HM employees. I'd also like to offer a pickup/drop off service for those who are having their vehicles serviced at HM. This will allow for employees to branch out and see the city and surrounding CD SIMs.

EXPERIENCE: I've been RPing in CD for a long time and RPed even before I came to CD for an even longer time. In my life I have been a RPer for the past 23 years so I don't see that stopping anytime soon. When the previous leader of the OSMC stepped down I stepped up to take his place and did everything I could to promote storylines including the taking over of a lot of the drug running and whores around the Master Bate's Motel area. The only reason the OSMC was disbanded under my leadership was due to a lack of people within the faction to keep it going. HM won't have that problem since it is, and has been, a staple of CD since as far back as I can remember. People will always come and go, RL will always interfere from time to time, but having a solid business will ensure RP continues even through the quiet months.

IDEAS: I plan to be at HM as much as I can during the peak RP hours of 5pm SL - 9pm SL. This way I can meet new employees, new customers, returning customers, or current employees. I want everyone to feel OOCly welcome regardless of who their character is, where they come from, or their RP style. ICly speaking employees will be vetted, tested via their knowledge of repair/maintenance work, and how they engage with customers. I have absolutely no problem helping answer questions in IMs for those players who OOCly don't know much/anything about mechanics.

OTHER: I'm thinking of throwing a grand opening discount and car wash event. I have a few female friends I can ask to show in bikinis and the like for the carwash aspect of it. Hell, maybe even a thong or two out there why not? Don't expect Dek in a thong, sorry people. The discount aspect comes into play with those that bring in their vehicles that day or schedule to bring them in another day (if the event is far too busy). I might even ask a friend or two of mine who DJ if they'd like to step up for the party. I'm always open to suggestions for future events as well.
