As you step off the old grungy bus, you quickly scan the streets surrounding you. Beads of sweat gather above your brow as the thick southern air engulfs you. At one end, you notice a trio of women on the corner. At the other, police officers spread bags of powder on the hood of their SUV while their suspect lies forced upon it.

Regrettably, you take a few more steps forward. In the far distance, past the dead trees, dense smoke rises from the tall stacks of the power plant. Slowly, you turn around, absorbing the desolate environment – a massive urban jungle of grunge brick and concrete.

Mesmerized and in fear, you quickly gather yourself and take to the sidewalks. In hopes to find a motel or some shelter, you come across a variety of people. From firemen, police, and doctors to suspicious figures draped in trench coats and masked under hoods, they all seem to glance your way.

Stopping a greasy mechanic, you timidly ask, “Excuse me, where can I find a motel?â€￾

He chuckles and points down the alley.

Against your best judgment, you decide to take the shortcut.

You hurry through the alley, avoiding the homeless and bodies up against dumpsters. In the corner of your eyes, shadows move silently.

Suddenly, you stop. A heavy hand lands on your shoulder from behind.

Your heart sinks.

Like stings on the back your neck, you cringe at the hot breath behind.

He whispers, “Are you lost?â€￾
