Nakia's life seemed to be laced with huge golden ribbons of luck. She entered the world parentless, in a cold, busted up orphanage in the heart of the Motherland: Russia. That all changed when she was picked up a few months after her birth by a very adoring young couple, and wisked off to live a life of priviledge in beautiful Beverly Hills, CA.

She can't remember much from her early childhood, just that she enjoyed learning and became very fond of books at a young age; mainly the classics. After age seven, however, things went down hill. Her father, the bread winner for the family, left when it was discovered that he had not one, but two mistresses. Having the money to forget about his first family, he never looked back. Nakia's mother, once a rich young socialite who never worked a day in her life, was at a loss. Grief-stricken and unable to be consoled, she fell in love with the bottle and perscription medicine. Nakia was blamed for her father's unloyal ways. Her mom turned into true "Mommy Dearest," if there ever was one. Physically and mentally abused, Nakia became a distant child and kept to her books. Bullies always targeted her, but encouraged by the tales of Greek heros, she always fought back. She took to the streets of Southern California and learned how to fend for herself. Her mother squandered away what money was left to them, and their rich reputation was drug through the mud and left in tatters.

After a huge physical blow-up between herself and her mom, Nakia was kicked out at 16 and became a fully fledged street urchin. Intelligent, tough, and withdrawn, she used her wits to make it. She taught herself to fight from observing various gangwars - never participating in them. Her confidence rose and she began to grow accustomed to this new life. She heard about Hathian from other street rats, and decided it might be fun to try her luck in the hard streets.

In general, Nakia is two people meshed into one. She dislikes the human race on a whole, due to all the hate and crime she has witnessed, and would probably make a great vigilante if she had a cause worth fighting for. Her lust for her own life has declined, and pretty much only does enough to get by. On the other hand, she seeks out companionship and is a bit naive when it comes to striking deals with people. A hard worker, she enjoys getting her hands dirty and can most often be spotted working the register down at the Clam.
