Najara Basevi was born in Los Angeles, California in 1978. Having originally been born male, Najara spent most of her life trying to understand her own identity. At the tender age of 18 she underwent her first surgery (breast augmentation) but decided to keep her rather larger package. Getting closer to 21, Najara spent time living in Guadalajara, Jalisco (MX), where she met a Columbian drug lord named "Vicenzo." Over the years Najara would form a close relationship with Vicenzo and she would later start distributing his grade-A cocaine in the US.

After arriving back in the US, Najara moved to Hathian City where she started to do business. Unsure of what kind of rivalry she would face, she invested a large sum of her money to buy real estate and start her operations. It was during these times that Najara became known as "The Godmother." Her caring nature helped her earn the title, but it was also established out of respect for her demeanor.

She is rumored to have killed over 163 people that have double crossed her. But as she usually hires people to carry out her deeds, so no blood can be found on her hands.
