Anonymoussaid*noob alert* Money is at the base of most human activities, especially in a place as the CD. I was just musing about how the addition of money (and possibly a robbable bank) could improve roleplay. it's straightforward that Lindens are not suitable. Francie Pasternak, at Drifter's, has introduced a local currency, the liberties, in the form of non copiable coins. I have no info on how it went, but we could go there and ask her. The system could be optional - only players that find it meaningful for their RP will use it. What could we do with money? Well, one could design an economic system going more or less like this: 1. The Source 2. The sink 3. The economy This would introduce a very strong motivation for people that want to play along - the poor beggar must get at least the subsistence, the prostitute should at least pay the doctor, the gangs will hoard money and get mercenaries with it. Probably it's too complicated. But I'd be happy to talk with anybody interested. No, I would not be the banker. Yes, I'd help with the economical part and even run a simulation of the economy. *noob alert end* Yes, I have too much free time at the moment. I'm firewalled and cannot play 😥 |
