Caroline was born in New York to a wealthy socialite and her wealthy husband. Her parents were neglecting and only loved her with clothes and gifts to win her love. Being raised by displeased nannies, Caroline took on a haughty disposition and was rebelious in her teen years. Her mother and father were discovered to be guilty of embezzlement and fraud when Caroline was only 15, after the news broke her parents took off to Italy under different names, when Caroline was supposed to get on the jet with them to ivade the law, she skipped out on her parents and went to her friends loft in Soho where she took on the pseudonym of Mint Philly and died her hair darker so she wouldn't be recognized as the daughter of her awful parents. She partied hard and shopped harder with her leftover money. After hitting bottom when she went into debt with her room-mate, Mint left her glamourous life in Manhattan and escaped to the dark city of Hathian at the age of 22. Still wishing she was in New York, Mint seeks the glamour and wealth that Hathian lacks completely.
