Mallory Martinez Wilson comes from  an  emotionally, physically, and sexually abusive home, where her mother was utterly apathetic to it. She has deep-seated issues about her abusive father and the trauma of his abuse still haunts her.

Mallory  has been highly influenced by her mass murderer boyfriend, Mickey Knox, who is serving a life sentence in Backwaters Prison for murdering her parents.

Due to her childhood and upbringing, Mallory gets goes to school to become a social worker so she can feed herself on the outside and figure out a way to bust her bf out of prison.
