Madeline, called Maddie by those closest to her, was born and raised in a small town in Iowa along with her three older sisters and older brother. Madeline was constantly compared to her older siblings which led to an ongoing struggle to identify herself and set herself apart from her older sisters and brother. However despite her attempts, Madeline ended up kind of falling through the cracks and by the time she got into high school she had given up on trying to be different and decided it would be easiest just to blend in with the crowd. She got good grades, had a small group of friends and was an averagely good soccer player on her school's team. But there was nothing special about her, she was just average. All throughout high school and college this averageness continued. But now she's moved to Hathian, and she hopes she can finally make something of herself, that is after she finds a better job than a coffee shop barista.
