Abandoned by his mother at the age of two, she sold him for cash to her brother. With his father nowhere to be seen, Josh was left with no choice but to rely on his uncle’s care. His uncle's abuse only worsened as Josh grew older. The beatings and verbal attacks left him scarred, both physically and mentally. Despite his attempts to make the best of the situation, Josh's uncle's cruelty only intensified as he grew older. At 17 years old, their relationship reached a boiling point. In a fit of rage, Josh reached for the nearest kitchen knife and stabbed his uncle twice in the stomach, After he mentioned Josh was only worth 100$ to his Addict mother. With nothing but a backpack and the clothes on his back, Josh fled the scene and never looked back. In his backpack, he carries a photo of himself and his mother as a baby, a pocket knife, and a stash of drugs he sells to make ends meet. Years on the streets have left Josh with a hardened exterior and a deep resentment towards authority. He sees law-abiding citizens as naive and ignorant, blind to the harsh realities of life on the streets. To him, survival means doing whatever it takes to stay alive, even if that means stepping over moral lines. Josh's past has taught him that the world is a dark and unforgiving place, and he's determined to do whatever it takes to make it through another day.</p> |
