Her father was a veteran Navy Seal who strived for nothing but the best for his wife and daughter. While on duty, the reins of the ranch were handed over to Kaci’s mother - a woman that was strong, witty, smart, sassy, everything that Kaci is today. During grade school, Kaci spent most of her days being homeschooled as she helped around the ranch. Her father also worked hard to instill life values and pushed her to strive for everything to surpass her best. Hard work and dedication. Because of this, her education was accelerated and by the time she entered high school, she had passed two grades. Kaci begged her father to allow her to attend a real school when she had graduated from the eighth grade. In a compromise, her family enrolled her in the nearest private school, where Kaci continued to excel in her education. As she focused more on school and less on the ranch (aside from weekend ranch chores), she would complete other’s school work and exams in exchange for cash. By the time she finished high school, she had taken a various number of placement exams for her fellow students. Officially graduating from high school as valedictorian, she also graduated with her Associate’s degree.</span></p>

During her time in university, she poured all of her focus into studying for the MCAT. She would become one of the brightest students in her class. After passing the MCAT and getting into medical school, Kaci had to find some way to pay for the expenses that came along with her schooling. She had to find some way to afford the costs, coming across a local gang that needed an emergency surgery performed on one of their members. One of the leaders snatched Kaci one morning, they threatened her to perform the surgery. She remained strong as she moved through the motions that she had only ever seen her attending doctors handle. Miraculously, the surgery was a success but she used the opening as a way to bring in the cash flow she needed. Striking a deal with the leaders, she became their personal physician. She only ever made enough to pay off the backed loans and current costs as she became a resident of a local Atlanta hospital.</span></p>

Having to choose between her shift and her life, Kaci made her way to the location where they were hiding. Due to the severity of the injuries, she told them that there was a low chance that he wouldn’t make it through the surgery, let alone post operation. She was given the ultimatum that if he were to die, then so should she. Putting everything she could into the surgery, there was nothing she could do to save his brother. She sat in silence as she gathered the courage to confront the soon-to-be grieving brother. Kaci didn’t know if it was sheer luck that he was the only one at the location, or if there was a greater power watching over her. After stitching up the lifeless body, and setting the equipment to run as if he was still alive, she let him know that he could see his brother. Using what time she could, she escaped and ran into hiding. As the night went on, she sent her resignation in to her chief of staff before packing the necessities into her car and taking off out of Atlanta. She flipped up her rearview mirror as Atlanta disappeared into the dark horizon behind her. </span></p>
