Name: Jax Winchester Just another kid down on his luck. The story was old, tried and too true in this world. Everyone had one…this was mine. Born in Willacy County Texas 1989 to Kaitlyn and Gregory Winchester. His father from a military background his mother a home maker to him and his sister... Jax did not have a good upbringing his father a drunkard used to beat on Jax and his family while he was growing up.. as Jax got older he stood in the way of his father getting to his sister and mother and gotten beaten even worse one event earning him the scar he carries on his right eye to this day.. Jax joined the military in 2008 at the age of 18 where he served 7 years in the marine core and took classes in legal studies to get his legal degree to become an officer. Jax was deployed multiple times over the course of his time in the crops. This is where he developed chronic PTSD so was advised to follow a different route much to his protests but eventually in 2018 he joined the JAG Corps in order to protect his fellow brothers and sisters in arms. Jax was given a dishonorable discharge due to misconduct unbecoming of an officer in 2020. This sent Jax down a spiral of bad choices, he turned to the bottle and even drugs as he tried to get the voices and the things he had seen out of his head as he failed to seek help for his PTSD and was no longer eligible for his VA benefits due to his discharge. One night in January 2021 Jax left his families ranch that his sister and mother lived at as his father was now gone and was not seen or heard from again back in Willacy County... Jax moved around the country working in clubs as a bouncer, to picking up cans for the bottle depot just to put some food in his stomach and some booze down his throat. He refused to stay in one place too long in case someone came looking for him. Jax did try settle down in a few odd cities but the jobs he did hold he got fired from for drinking or stealing from the cash register... He often thought to himself it would be better to just end it all but Jax was too stubborn for that so he just kept on pushing in hopes someone out there would take a chance on him and give him a good paying job but it just ever happened as he could not shake the booze or the drugs In November of 2020 Jax was arrested for a drunk and disorderly landing him in a county lock up for 6 months as he threatened the judge at his court hearing while he tried to represent himself failing miserably due to detoxing from being in lockup. This ended up being a blessing for Jax as it gave him time to sober up and fully detox from all the drugs helping to clear his head and get him somewhat on the straight and narrow. Though as much as it was offered he refused to speak to anyone about his years of deployment refusing to get treated for his PTSD. He was released in late May swearing off alcohol and drugs he wondered where he was going to go now he had burned bridges in so many places and he didn't want to go home he could not bare to see the look of disappointment on his mother’s face.. He then recalled someone talking about a place called Haithan… yes that is where he will go the place where it doesn't matter what your past was there is always something for someone in Haithan he recalled the guy saying so he made up his mind that is where he was heading... Jax arrived in Haithan in June of 2021 looking around for work he recalled again the guy talking about some titty bar always hiring so he went to go take a look and got hired as a bouncer for the bar quiet happy he started to work the door the bar floor finding a home in the trailer park he worked to try make ends meet. He was doing ok until he got a call that something had happened to his sister so he left town that night and was not seen again for about a month and a half till he returned to town after dealing with his sister last week. He went back to the bar and pleaded for them to give him his job back to which they finally agreed so now he is back in town looking for a place to call home him be it back in the trailer park or a shared place till he got enough money to get his own place and start a new life will he succeed? Who knows only time will tell… |
