Another one of my random RP ideas which I thought I'd throw out for discussion.

Sometimes you just don't have the right RPers around for your scene. Maybe you need a doctor in HGH for RP and no one is online. Maybe you need a cop to come to a scene and no one is online. Maybe you need a bartender, barista, dentist, hairdresser for an RP and no one is around.

Meanwhile, other RPers are on sim, not busy, in the mood for RP but can't help you cause they don't RP as a doctor/cop/barista etc.

My suggestion is to have a group of roleplayers who have ready made alt characters who can be called up in these situations.

For example, I had some fun last year where i came up with a priest character to officiate at a wedding. He was only used for one scene, but it was fun and helped with a scene.

Alts would be temporary/disposable - the aim would be to have roleplayers assist a scene in a valuable role. If they were stepping in as an HGH doctor, for example, they would need top play that supporting role, offer medical advice etc, but not be the focus of the scene per se. The alt would have to adhere to the standards of any organisation they are representing, so it would be up to to the roleplayer to do their best to RP as HPD etc/

I guess what I would envision is if people have IMed in the usual channels asking "any cops online" and the answer is no, then they could also ask "anyone with a temporary cop alt?" etc.

Maybe a special group could be created, CD Supporting RP or something like that - so that if someone is RPing as say, HPD or HGH, they don't end up getting full group rights, just an indication that they are there as a supporting character.

Thoughts? Good idea? bad idea? 🙂
