The Democratic Pary of Hathian Parish has nominated another candidate, Janey Hopkins, for a position on the Hathian City Council. Miss Hopkins has released the folowing press statement concerning her nomination:

I am deeply honored with the nomination. As a student at Columtreal University, I know that the students are the future of the city, and should be afforded every opportunity to bring about positive change in the city, sentiments shared by fellow esteemed candidate Paige Davenport and mayoral candidate R "Rabid" Calhoun. I do not see Paige Davenport as an opponent, but rather a kindred spirit in bringing about a better Hathian for everyone, not just students. It is my sincere hope that both of us progress past the primaries and to the final elections so that together, we can help ensure a bright future for the students, for the citizens, for a better Hathian.

City Council candidate Hopkins is in the process of organizing a rally on the Columtreal University campus in which all potential candidates for both the mayoral and city council races can meet with constituents and discuss their views on the issues, date and location to be determined.
