Hathian's first election in years is just around the corner, thanks to numerous scandals at the hand of mayor Robert "Bobby" Boxer, who has been forced into rehab for cocaine use.

The city council has decided to overhaul the entire office. Not only will a new mayor be elected, but new council members will be elected as well.

A soft election to determine the final candidates will take place from Feb 27 - March 1. The top candidates will move on to the final election. The final election will take place on March 27 - 29. All candidates must be 18+

Once you apply to run, you can immediately start campaigning for votes. This is important because your fellow RPers will be voting for both mayor and the city council!

Quick OOC Information
- One mayor and three council members will be elected by all RPers in sim in a series of votes
- All potential mayoral candidates will go through a preliminary public vote. The top 4 candidates will proceed to the election
- All potential city council candidates will go through a preliminary public vote. The top 12 candidates will proceed to the election
- Please only run for one seat, this is to give everyone a chance
- Elected officials will be able to make municipal decisions, as long as they do not change established rules or make extra work for admin and staff
- Elected officials cannot make OOC decisions about other businesses or entities. Those managers were picked to run said groups, thus they are the decision makers
