Here is Carly's revised proposal. Apologies to her for not noticing it had come in already! Discuss!

DATE: 07/12/11

PROPOSAL BY: Carly Mimistrobell

GROUP NAME: West Side Piru

FORUM ID:Carly Mimistrobell

MEMBERS: Carly Martini (Carly Mimistrobell), Charles Jordan (Milpas Ragu), Kekkon Miles (Jingy Blinker), Piper Trevellion (Piper Delvalle)

BACKSTORY: [ Here is the revised proposal for the West Side Piru gang. I'd like to apologize to everyone for the confusion, as I had misunderstood upon writing my first proposal. I hope that this one pleases everyone, as I had tried my best to morph the gang into one that will, not only shape to fit Hathian, but to provide opportunities for story-lines and roleplay for anyone and everyone in the Crack Den community. ]

The West Side Piru, or Piru for short, is the result of the unexpected unification between surviving members of the KrackDen Bloods and those alike who share similar intentions. With the experience of the remaining Bloods and the connections and potential of their new-found allies, the two would merge their skill and-- Lo and behold! The West Side Piru is born. The West Side Piru act almost as a family, as they're a group of lower to lower-middle class criminals who don't have much else in life other than the gang. They're bound together by a common goal and their determination to achieve it brings them that much closer. Similar to their ancestors, the Piru represent themselves with the color red. Just as well, the act of dropping blood by razors is also a dominant trademark that had remained tradition. Otherwise, the Piru unite with a whole new approach... With a much more reckless approach to their endeavors, the Piru are over-confident, arrogant and merciless. With such confidence inspired by the ever-so-audacious Carly Martini, the Piru inevitably adapt such strong pride, as if to convince the rest of Hathian that they '(will) run the streets'. Though they use this approach to intimidate any rival gang or group, the Piru really do believe in their ability to dominate in comparison to the competition, so to speak. The Piru are very violent. They take pride in all that they represent, such as reputation and turf. Should any civilian or other gang disrespect any aspect of the West Side Piru, the gang will most likely retaliate in a fit of rage and make sure to end the dispute then and there.

UNIQUE: While the Hell's Saints punish those who they believe are evil, the sisterhood of the Dolls attempt to seize the prostitution industry and the Lower 9th Rejects focus on cultivating fear, the West Side Piru want power (money and a reputation) and plan to achieve it through any means necessary, specifically violence and intimidation. The main message that the Piru deliver, is that they run these streets and dominate the town, as their arrogant and cocky representation conveys. The West Side Piru don't like other gangs or strong groups of people by default, specifically if they: a.) are an obsticle in the way of Piru ambitions, b.) are affiliated with drug trafficking, or c.) disrespect the Piru in some way or another. The Piru are trying to take control of the dealers and the drugs that flow through the city as well as to extort businesses. As you can see, power is the main objective of the West Side Piru. Money, drugs and reputation are some of the most important key factors that lead to this objective of power. Upon the gang's formation, the West Side Piru start off with a few [NPC] connections to drug suppliers in California, courtsey of Charles Jordan. Considering the time that it takes to actually get the drugs from California to Louisiana, there will occasionally be shortages of drug product, which will inspire Piru conflict as they will make up for this shortage by robberies, be it upon drug dealers, local stores or even random pedestrians. (One way of 'bringing something new to the table', by creating storylines with those unaffiliated in gangs.). There will be more clever ways of distributing drugs. As most of the founding members already work at the Pie Hole Pizzaria, two of which with management positions, the Piru will be arranging an underground system to deliver drugs in the guise of delivering pizza. By taking control of drugs, not only do they make money, but they plan to use drugs as a means to make people 'dependent' upon them, another way that the Piru will use to achieve some kind of power. (With all of these various ways to incorporate people, new, old, gang members, civilians, etc. into roleplay, I would also like to point out that initiation is still tradition, which is to spill blood, so there will also be 'random' violence.)

EXP:I'm a leader by nature, though I'm not sure if that would apply in a virtual world of roleplay. If it helps, I had many experiences before with being a representative of the Crack Den community and it's affiliates, mostly with leading and/or managing gangs and groups. I get very good feedback from others about my leadership skills if it helps, and I want nothing more than to help to contribute! I understand that the only real conflict seems to be my unstable schedule (I can't help it, that's life), but I will be as active as I possibly can, and-- if worse comes to worst, I already know how I will handle the situation in a manner that does not disrupt the gang's activity/progression. This way, in the event that I do end up disappearing for a few days, the gang will manage, as opposed to it fading away with my disappearance like it tends to do.

IDEAS:If you read above, you will notice that there is a ton of opportunity for roleplay for any type of character, despite their disposition. From civilian to gang member, to police officer to local convenience store worker, the West Side Piru had a story designed to fit the setting of Hathian after the year evacuation, as well as a way to flourish with the help of the entire Crack Den community! From the Piru's robberies to their problems with drug dealers, to their clever underground drug-running schemes, the Piru will come in contact with many different people, and-- though they're a violent, arrogant gang, who's to say that every encounter will necessarily be the same? Depending on who they come across, the Piru could end up recruiting, making a deal with or-- well, simply kick their ass!
